Cause For Effect will no longer release physical formats. Future releases will be free digital downloads, available for everyone to download, spread and copy as much as they want.

The reason for giving up CD’s (and vinyls & cassettes too) is that we want to give our music for free and digital download is the easiest and cheapest way to do it. Internet gives this opportunity to reach our listeners all over the world.

If you want to support us, you can buy our t-shirt or a hoodie. All money goes to recording studio and t-shirt printing expenses. http://www.causeforeffect.org/shop.htm

Free downloads will be high quality mp3’s, FLAC and even wav/audio if you want. They include covers and information for printing. Also correct metadata will be added so your last.fm can read them correctly.

This decision doesn’t include our previous CD releases. They’re still for sale on various Record Shops and listenable thru Spotify.

First free digital download release will be a live album, before the end of 2011. New 15 track EP will see the light somewhere in 2012. More information later when we’ll know more.

Now it's time to compose more new songs. About timetable for forthcoming recording, I honestly can't say at the moment, but in the future we'll be wiser and let you know.

Tuska 2011, more gigs...

Cause For Effect will play @ Tuska Festival in friday 22nd july 2011. Tuska (pain in english) is the biggest metal music festival in northeren Europe. http://www.tuska-festival.fi/en/

We have now couple of new songs as well and we'll compose more for the forthcoming recording. It propably will be an EP as the "Progressive And Minimalist Recording".
